I’m Sarah - the owner, founder, and heart behind the brand - and I’d love to share the story that brought Sox UK to life.

You’ll notice the unicorn artwork across my brand, and it’s far more than just a logo. It’s a piece of my life.

In 2021, at 36 years old, I became homeless with my little girl, Peggy-Mae; my very own Pegasus. She was just two. While sitting on the bed the council provided, I drew a unicorn for her: a symbol of hope, imagination, and the future I promised I would build.

I had 42 pence in my bank account, hardly any belongings, and no home… but I had a vision!!!

Born in 1985, with Peggy arriving in 2019, I doodled the unicorn that would one day become the face of my business, alongside a vision board where I began manifesting everything we needed: stability, joy, and a future I would create with my own hands.

From that moment, I worked every single hour of every single day. Heartbreak became fuel, and determination became my compass.

My first big events - Chester Christmas Market and Fit X Po - were where the dream became real, and they will forever be close to my heart.

Fast-forward four years: Peggy is now six. We’ve found our forever home. I planted a blossom tree in the front garden, just like I wrote on my vision board. And now, I’ve finally launched my quoted sock range - full of humour, personality, and little sparks of joy, because life can be far too serious.

I hope these socks make you smile the way creating them made me smile.
